JSC Bank Republic Société Générale is pleased to announce a vacancy for the position of IT Senior Database Administrator.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide support for existing and future SQL Server 2005/2008 clustered and non clustered and Oracle 10g/11g RAC and non-RAC production databases.
Perform planning and implementation of RDBMS migration projects.
Install, configure and maintain Oracle 10g, 11g, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008 databases.
Define and support database backup and recovery (hot/cold/incremental backup) procedure.
Support high availability and disaster recovery of database systems (standby databases, cluster, RAC).
Perform advanced performance monitoring and tuning of abovementioned type of databases.
Provide enterprise core system performance monitoring and fine-tuning.
Ensure data security and compliance with corporate requirements and standards.
Assist other colleagues in troubleshooting software issues with regard to databases.
Document production databases and systematically update cartography of databases (data flow, etc).
Qualification requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in IT field.
At least 4 years of work experience as a database administrator or in a similar position.
Excellent knowledge of database technologies.
Experience in administering/implementing Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 and Oracle version 10g/11g databases.
Excellent knowledge of technical English (both written and spoken).
Skills:
High proficiency in RDBMS engines.
Database system design and modeling skills (logical and physical architecture).
Proven ability to understand design specifications/requirements.
Ability to troubleshoot/solve problems with minimal administrative effort and time.
Personal abilities:
Strong sense of individual responsibility.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong technical document writing skills.
Ability to work individually and in a team.
